A. Major Works, Certificate of Appropriateness

1. A request has been made by Mr. Mark Gray to restore the front facade on the structure located at 155 West Main Street. The restoration will match the storefront at 151 & 153 West Main Street.

2. A request has been made by Mr. Dennis Sinar to (1) add 5 double hung casement windows to the rear and east side of the house (windows will be vinyl clad), (2) add a wooden frame (vinyl clad) sliding glass patio door, and (3) remove nonfunctioning rear chimney located at 610 East Main Street.

3. A request has been made by Mr. Gregory Duke to have a 15" pine tree removed from the front of his property located at 226 East Main Street. The purpose being to improve the front yard condition, prevent falling limbs, and because the tree appears to be damaged.

4. A request has been made by St. Peter's Episcopal Church to demolish the structure located at 201 East Second Street.

B. Minor Works

1. A request has been made and approved by staff for a Certificate of Appropriateness for Steve Owens to change the existing letters on Wachovia Bank located at 101 South Market Street. The new sign will be 20" x 23'.

2. A request has been made and approved by staff for a Certificate of Appropriateness for Ann Mathis to repair the front porch with like materials and to replace the back steps to improve the dangerous condition on the structure located at 715 West Main Street.

3. A request has been made and approved by staff for a Certificate of Appropriateness for Greg Purser to add a window sign on the structure located at 107 North Market Street. The new sign will be 56" x 36".

4. A request has been made and approved by staff for a Certificate of Appropriateness for Anne Willard to replace a privacy fence in the rear yard of the structure located at 318 East Second Street.

VI. Other Business

A. James McKeon - Discuss duplexes as Special Uses in the Historic District.

B. First United Methodist Church - discussion on replacing windows in the old church.
