A. Major Works, Certificate of Appropriateness

1. A request has been made by Mr. Rick Stevens to construct a duplex on the subdivided property located at the intersection of McNair and East 2nd Streets. It has been requested that the exterior siding material be hardi-board plank.

2. A request has been made by Mr. Tony Jackson to repair the porch roof and reconstruct the original porch decking, railings and columns to the structure located at 509 West 2nd Street. The exterior material will be wood.

3. A request has been made by the City of Washington to demolish the structure located at 324 Water Street. The structure has been condemned by the City Building Inspections Office and proper notification has been given to the property owner.

4. A request has been made by the City of Washington to demolish the structure located at 112 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. The structure has been condemned by the City Building Inspections Office and proper notification has been given to the property owner.

5. A request has been made by the City of Washington to demolish the structure located at 745 W. 2nd Street. The structure has been condemned by the City Building Inspections Office and proper notification has been given to the property owner.

B. Minor Works

1. A request has been made and approved by staff for a Certificate of Appropriateness for Lisa Woolard to place two wall signs on the building located at 211 N. Market Street. The front sign will be 9" letters and the rear sign will be a 1' x 11' wall sign.

2. A request has been made and approved by staff for a Certificate of Appropriateness for Donald Foreman to repair the porch decking with like materials on the structure located at 735 W. 2nd Street.

3. A request has been made and approved by staff for a Certificate of Appropriateness for Louis Jackson to repair the front porch, repair the exterior siding and repair back kitchen on the structure located at 428 E. 2nd Street. All repairs will be made with same material.

4. A request has been made and approved by staff for a Certificate of Appropriateness for Robert Elks, Goose Creek Construction, to remove a rotten and damaged addition from the rear of the house and repair the damage caused by the addition on the structure located at 314 E. 2nd Street.

5. A request has been made and approved by staff for a Certificate of Appropriateness for First United Methodist Church to move a condensing unit from the rear sidewalk to the parking lot side of the Church located at 304 W. 2nd Street.
