A. Major Works, Certificate of Appropriateness

1. A request has been made by the Education Committee of the First Presbyterian Church to replace a damaged and rotten wooden fence with a 4' high chain link fence located at the rear of the property located at 211 West Second Street.

2. A request has been made by the Beaufort County Arts Council (108 N. Gladden Street) to install a 4' x 5' masonry sign with the Beaufort County Arts Council's name at the corner of Gladden and West Main Streets.

3. A request has been made by the City of Washington Public Works Department to remove a 15" maple tree from the right-of-way located at the corner of Washington and West Main Street. The purpose for removing the tree is to repair and improve the sidewalk condition and to prevent the tree from falling.

4. A request has been made by Mark Gray to replace the rotten windows on the side of the building located at 151 & 153 West Main Street. In addition, a request has been made to replace the roll-up garage door located at 228 Stewart Parkway with brick for office space.

5. A request has been made by Fred Fletcher of Washington Betterment Partners for approval for landscaping, lighting, site plan, decking, porches and walkways for the Pamlico River Inn and Conference Center to be located at 235 East Water Street.

B. Minor Works

1. A request has been made and approved by staff for a Certificate of Appropriateness for Mark Gray (151 & 153 West Main Street/228 Stewart Parkway) to return Van Baars to original stucco by removing siding; repair roof and windows on front; and repoint brick.

2. A request has been made and approved by staff for a Certificate of Appropriateness for Bo Lewis (102 Stewart Parkway) to relocate the Visitor's Center sign from the south side of the building to the north side - edge of parkway.

3. A request has been made and approved by staff for a Certificate of Appropriateness for Homer Wallace (323 N. Harvey Street) to construct a 6' x 8' wooden accessory building in the left rear corner of the yard. Siding material will be wood lap siding to match house.
